How to program Auto Dial buttons using Centralized Telephone Programming:

Using a display phone at extension 10 on Partner Plus Release 1 or Release 2 systems:
Using a display phone at extension 10 or 11 on Partner Plus Release 3.0 or later systems, and on all Partner II, Partner ACS and Partner Endeavor systems:
Place the programming overlay on your phone.
Press Feature 00.
Press System Program (or Left Intercom).
Press System Program (or Left Intercom).
Press Central Tel Program (or Right Intercom).
Dial the two-digit extension number of the phone that you want to program with this feature.
Press a programmable button.

Select an option:
Intercom Ring: Press System Program (or Left Intercom) and dial the two-digit extension number to be on that button.
Intercom Voice signal: Press System Program (or Left Intercom) * and dial the two-digit extension number to be on that button. This option is not available on Partner Plus Release 1.
Outside phone number: Dial the phone number.
Erase: Press Mic.
To program another button repeat steps 7-8.
Press Feature 00 to exit programming.
How to program an Auto Dial button directly on a system phone:

Press Feature 00.
Press a programmable button.
Select an option:
Intercom Ring: Press System Program (or Left Intercom) and dial the two-digit extension number to be on that button.
Intercom Voice signal: Press System Program (or Left Intercom) * and dial the two-digit extension number to be on that button. This option is not available on Partner Plus Release 1.
Outside phone number: Dial the phone number.
Erase: Press Mic.
To program another button repeat Steps 2-3.
Press Feature 00 to exit programming.

  • You can use the Auto Dial button instead of dialing the two-digit extension number required for these features: Call Coverage, Call Forwarding/Call Follow-Me, Call Park, Message Light On, Message Light Off, Station Unlock, and Voice Mailbox Transfer.
  • To set up a Fax Management button, program the fax extension number on an Auto Dial button with lights. Special light patterns on the Auto Dial button for the fax extension indicate fax machine status. Identify fax extensions using Fax Machine Extensions (#601).
  • You can include special functions, such as a Pause, in the Auto Dial number.
  • An Auto Dial number can begin with a star code; the system automatically inserts a delay based on the Star Code Dial Delay (#410) setting.
  • This feature cannot be used with Call Screening (F25).

 

The Avaya Partner was installed in over 1 Million small businesses but sadly is no longer supported by the manufacturer and is considered a legacy phone system.  However, support and upgrades are available for the Avaya Partner.
